NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced a “number of changes” to the COVID restrictions in place.
From Friday, February 18, the two square metre density limits will be removed, QR check-ins will only be required for nightclubs and all music festivals with more than 1,000 people.
Singing and dancing will be permitted in all venues across the state, except music festivals until it resumes on February 25.
From Friday, February 25, masks will only be mandated on public transport, trains, airports, hospitals, aged and disability care facilities, correction facilities, and indoor music festivals with more than 1,000 people.
The 20,000-person cap on music festivals will also be removed from February 25, and hotel quarantine for unvaccinated travellers will be reduced from 14 days to seven days.
